The Department of Pharmacy is one of the most progressive and established departments of the university and the country. UAP pioneered the Bachelor of Pharmacy program in 1996 and now also offers multiple graduate-level programs including this M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Technology.

This one-year evening program is tailored for pharmacy graduates and focuses on current developments in Pharmaceutical Technology, Manufacturing Pharmacy, and Biopharmaceutics.

Objectives of the Program:

  1. To deliver advanced knowledge on current issues of Pharmaceutical Technology.
  2. To develop human resources and provide skilled manpower in pharmaceutical and health sectors.
  3. To allow graduate pharmacists to continue their education while remaining professionally active.

Pharmacists play critical roles in product development, validation, production, and GMP implementation. This master's program aims to enhance their effectiveness and open avenues for research in product design and development, ultimately contributing to the local and global pharmaceutical industry.

The M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Technology program is spread over 1 academic year, consisting of 2 semesters. Each semester includes:

Program Groups

Thesis Group: Students must complete lab-based research under a faculty supervisor. The research should reflect current developments in Pharmaceutical Technology, Biopharmaceutics, or related fields.

General Group: Students will complete a project based on surveys, literature reviews, or theoretical studies. A seminar presentation is required at the conclusion of the project.
