University of Asia Pacific arranges Freshers’ Orientation for Spring 2022

University of Asia Pacific (UAP) organized orientation program on 16 July 2022 for the newly enrolled students in the Spring 2022 semester.


Dr. M. Alauddin, Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT), UAP, was present as the Chief Guest. In his speech, Dr. Alauddin advised the students to be attentive on study from the first semester. He also advised them to get involved in co-curricular activities that helps a student to be more competitive in the current job market.


Professor Dr. Qumrul Ahsan, Vice Chancellor, UAP, began his speech by recalling the former Vice Chancellor and Late National Professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury who led UAP as the Vice Chancellor for almost eight years. In his speech, he also vividly shared with students that UAP has received the Permanent Certificate from the Ministry of Education of Bangladesh. It is proud moment for all of us. He advised the freshers’ to make the best use of UAP’s resources.


Addressing the new students, Professor Dr. Md. Sultan Mahmud, Pro Vice Chancellor, UAP, said, “today is a red letter day in your life as you will start a new journey in academia, so you have to take the responsibility of learning for yourself.”


UAP Proctor, Professor Shahriyar Anam shared some essential rules and regulations of UAP with the freshers. He advised students not to violate rules that lead to face punishment.

Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury, Director in-Charge, Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW) of UAP introduced freshers with the clubs and its regular activities. He asked the students’ to get involved with club activities which has an immense impact on growing student’s leadership and communication skills.
Professor Dr. Sayeed M. Ahmed, Dean, School of Environmental Sciences and Design; Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Dean, School of Medicine; and Professor Dr. M. A. Baqui Khalily, Dean, School of Business, Humanities and Social Science, School of Law and School of Science; and Mr. Md. Asaduzzaman, Registrar in-Charge, UAP, delivered their speeches at the orientation program.


The event was also addressed by two alumni; Dr. Fahim Tanjidul Karim, Manager, Production, Incepta Pharma Ptv. Ltd.; and Engr. Syed Ferdous Raihan, General Manger, Coordination, BBS Group. They shared their views and experience in their academic and professional lives.

The Heads, faculty members, administrative staff, freshers’ and their parents and guardians joined the event.
