UAP Delegation Pays Courtesy Visit to UGC Chairman

Mr. K.M. Mozibul Hoque, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), and Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Acting Vice Chancellor of UAP, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, at the UGC on 24 June 2026.

During the meeting, the UAP delegation congratulated Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed on his appointment as Chairman of the UGC and conveyed the heartfelt greetings and best wishes of the entire UAP family for his successful leadership in advancing higher education in Bangladesh.

The discussion focused on various contemporary issues in higher education, including quality assurance, academic excellence, research and innovation, industry-academia collaboration, graduate employability, and the internationalization of higher education in Bangladesh. They exchanged views on strengthening global academic partnerships, enhancing student and faculty mobility, promoting research collaboration, and improving the international standing of Bangladeshi universities.

Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan highlighted UAP's commitment to quality education, research, and global engagement, and invited Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed to visit the University of Asia Pacific. The UGC Chairman appreciated the visit and expressed his interest in the continued development of higher education institutions in Bangladesh.
