UAP English Alumna Awarded Prestigious ICCR Scholarship for MA in World Literature

Ms. Mantasa Mamun Oishi, an alumna of the Department of English at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), has been awarded the prestigious Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Scholarship for the 2026-2027 academic session. Through this fully funded scholarship, she will pursue a Master of Arts (MA) in World Literature at the renowned Nalanda University, India.

During her undergraduate years at UAP, Mantasa distinguished herself through her active engagement in academic, cultural, and co-curricular activities. As a member of the Department of English, she participated in Language Club workshops that enhanced her communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. These experiences enriched her university life and contributed significantly to her personal development, preparing her to thrive in diverse academic and professional settings.

A significant milestone in her academic journey was her participation in the International Conference on Business and Technology in the 21st Century (ICBT) in 2025. The conference provided her with the opportunity to interact with participants and scholars from different countries, including Germany, Indonesia, and Malaysia, broadening her perspective on international academic and professional collaboration.

Mantasa earned her Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Asia Pacific (UAP). She subsequently completed an MBA at the same institution, achieving excellent academic results. Her business studies further broadened her knowledge and strengthened her analytical, professional, and interdisciplinary perspectives.

Her academic background in English Literature, combined with her business education, has provided her with a strong interdisciplinary foundation. Her selection for the MA in World Literature at Nalanda University marks an important milestone in her academic journey and reflects her sustained interest in literature, culture, language, and global intellectual exchange.
