The Club of Finance & Accounting (CFA), University of Asia Pacific (UAP), organized an industrial visit to Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, Chandra, Kaliakoir, Gazipur, aiming to provide students with practical exposure to large-scale manufacturing and industrial operations. The day-long program was held on May 12, 2026, with the participation of students from the Department of Business Administration, accompanied by faculty members Mr. Imroz Mahmud and Ms. Rubaba Nazneen Noor.
The event began with an orientation session conducted by Walton officials, offering insights into the company’s history, operational excellence, production capabilities, and future vision. The session was followed by a documentary screening highlighting Walton’s growth journey and global expansion.
After the orientation, students visited the product display room, where a wide range of consumer electronics and home appliances showcased Walton’s innovation and product diversification strategy.
The participants were then taken to guided tours of the Refrigerator and Air Conditioner manufacturing units, where they observed live production processes, assembly lines, and quality control systems. The visit also included a tour of Walton’s extensive industrial area, providing a broader understanding of its large-scale infrastructure and operations.
This hands-on experience enabled students to connect academic concepts with real industrial practices, particularly in production management, operations, and quality assurance.
UAP faculty and students expressed their sincere appreciation for the warm hospitality and support extended by Walton officials throughout the visit. The organizers believe that such experiential learning initiatives play a vital role in bridging classroom knowledge with industry practices and strengthening industry–academia collaboration.
