The HR Excellence Club of the Department of Business Administration (DBA), University of Asia Pacific (UAP), successfully organized an insightful technical workshop titled "HR Analytics: Mastering Dashboard & Automation" at the RH Computer Lab, UAP.
The workshop provided students with a deeper understanding of data-driven HR practices, effectively bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical applications in modern organizational analytics. Marking a significant milestone for human resource management students, the event offered hands-on technical guidance and valuable practice with real-time datasets, equipping attendees to meet the automation challenges of the future workplace.
The event featured Mr. Rashed Munshi, Business Analyst at Omera Petroleum Limited and a Microsoft Certified Excel Trainer, as the keynote speaker. The session was honored by the presence of the HoD, DBA, Mr. Sarwar R. Chowdhury, as well as respected club advisors and departmental faculty members, including Ms. Farzana Elahi, Ms. Tasneem Tarannum, Mr. Abul Mohaimen, Ms. Maisha Nawar, Mr. Ahmed Tausif Saad, and Mr. Shariful Islam Sojib.
The program officially commenced with opening remarks from Ms. Farzana Elahi, Assistant Professor and Advisor to the HR Excellence Club, who welcomed the guests and emphasized the need for technical proficiency alongside soft skills in the current HR industry.
Following the inauguration, the workshop led by Mr. Rashed Munshi focused on the end-to-end process of Dashboard Preparation, enabling participants to gain practical skills applicable to their daily roles. By sharing presentation files and datasets for real-time practice, he ensured hands-on learning that participants could apply directly to their workflows. Mr. Munshi gave comprehensive training on Automation, showcasing how linking Excel-based HR dashboards with standardized documentation and mail merge streamlined communication processes. In Payroll Management, students learned to build dashboards that streamlined salary calculations and compensation tracking, improving their ability to manage compensation data. The session was highly interactive, and both the speaker and participants stayed enthusiastic, which contributed to active engagement and strengthened learning outcomes.
In the closing segment, with a vote of thanks, Ms. Tasneem Tarannum shared her concluding thoughts and presented a token of appreciation to the guest trainer on behalf of the HR Excellence Club. She also thanked the Head of the Department, faculty members, and the student committee for their teamwork. Ms. Maisha Nawar then presented a bouquet of flowers to the distinguished guest as a further gesture of welcome and appreciation.
A highlight of the program was the announcement of the "Best Performer" for Spring ’25, with Mr. Abul Mohaimen presenting the honor to Md. Tashik Alam. Ms. Maisha Nawar also presented a crest to former President Ms. Amrin Akhter in recognition of her leadership and service.
To commemorate the event, the workshop concluded with a group photo featuring the distinguished speakers, faculty, and club members, marking a memorable close.
