MINDSCAPE 2026, a flagship academic initiative organized by the English Language Club of the University of Asia Pacific's Directorate of Students' Welfare, took place on April 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the UAP Auditorium. Centered on the compelling theme "The Strategic Use of English in Shaping Narratives," this inter-university competition brought together over 200 students from leading institutions across Bangladesh in a dynamic celebration of language, intellect, and creativity.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from BRAC University, North South University, Independent University Bangladesh, American International University Bangladesh, Kishoreganj University, Southeast University, Eastern University, East West University, International University of Business Agriculture and Technology, Manarat International University, United International University, and host institution, University of Asia Pacific. This diverse representation created a vibrant environment of academic exchange and healthy competition.

MINDSCAPE featured two distinct segments designed to challenge participants' linguistic and creative abilities. The English Olympiad attracted nearly 130 participants who tackled a rigorous 50-question examination worth 100 marks, assessing grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, and literature while fostering critical thinking and analytical excellence. The Poster Presentation segment engaged 19 teams exploring the theme "Strategic Use of English in Shaping Narratives" through 26 diverse sub-themes spanning education, communication, media, society, and culture. Teams demonstrated how English strategically influences perspectives and shapes social, cultural, and political narratives, promoting research-based learning, teamwork, and interactive scholarly discussion.

The ceremony was warmly welcomed by the adviser of English Language Club Mr. Nurul Ahad. Dean, School of business, acting dean, School of Sciences, acting dean, School of Humanities and Social Science, acting dean, School of Law Dr. M. A. Baqui Khalily and Acting Director, DSW Mohammad Rakiv delivered an inspiring speech and highlighted the importance of education, leadership, creativity, and global opportunities for students. Head of English Department Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury and a member of UAP's Board of Trustees also graced the occasion with their presence and delivered speeches. Honorable Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan then graced us with his concluding speech. All distinguished guests received tokens of appreciation for their support.

The esteemed judging panel comprised adviser Mr. Nurul Ahad, Dr. Abu Sufian, Assistant Professors from UAP's Department of English, and Wahid Kaiser, Lecturer from Kishoreganj University's Department of English. Their expertise ensured fair and balanced evaluation across all competitions.

In the English Olympiad, Md. Abdullah from Kishoreganj University claimed the Champion title, while Walid Mohammad Hossain and Mumtahina Mahbub Mitat from UAP secured 1st and 2nd Runner-Up positions respectively. The Poster Presentation saw Mayesha Binte Hasan from Bangladesh University of Professionals achieve Champion status, with Nusrat Jahan Anikah from UAP as 1st Runner-Up, and Adiba Ahmed Sara and Mashruk Islam Mahir from East West University as 2nd Runner-Up.
