INTER-DEPARTMENT CRICKET TOURNAMENT, FALL-23

UAP Central Cricket Club, one of the central clubs of the Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW) organized the ‘Inter-Department Cricket Tournament, Fall-23’ from February 23 to February 25, 2024 at Kalabagan Cricket Ground. The Cricket team from all the eight departments of the university took part in the tournament.

The tournament was inaugurated at 11.00 am on February 23, 2024 by the honorable Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Sultan Mahmud as the Chief Guest and Prof. Dr. Skeikh Anwar Hossain as the special guest. Both of them enjoyed the opening match. On the third day of the tournament both Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Pharmacy department became victorious to emerge as the finalists. The exciting final match was held on February 25, 2024 at the same venue. CSE defeated Pharmacy by 27 runs to claim the championship title. Chasing a target of 145 runs in the 10 over final match, Pharmacy was all out scoring 118 in 10 overs. Md. Junayed (registration no. 23201085) from CSE was adjudged both man of the match and man of the tournament respectively. Supporters from both the teams cheered for their respective teams to make the match more lively and enjoyable.

Dr. A.S. M Mohsin, Director, DSW and Associate Professor of Basic Sciences and Humanities, Mr. A.H.M Nazmul Hasan, Assistant Professor, Pharmacy, and Mr. Md. Shahidul Islam , Assistant Professor, CSE enjoyed the final match and attended the prize giving ceremony .

The tournament was coordinated by Mr. Md. Abdullah Al Mahmud, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and Adviser, UAP Central Cricket Club.
The tournament was concluded with the warm appreciation and photo session by the Vice Chancellor, UAP, Prof. Dr. Qumrul Ahsan.
