Uzzwal Kumar Deb Nath achieved his M.A.Sc. in Building Engineering from Concordia University in Québec, Canada, in 2016, and his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2007. Since the Fall 2019 semester, he has been employed as a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at University of Asia Pacific (UAP).
Prior to becoming part of University of Asia Pacific (UAP), he held positions as a Lecturer (Senior Scale) at Daffodil International University (DIU) and served as an Adjunct Faculty member at East West University (EWU). Before embarking on his career in education, he worked as a Research Assistant at Concordia University in Canada. Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, he accumulated nearly five years of professional experience working in various engineering organizations in Bangladesh.
Uzzwal has authored multiple journal articles and conference papers and has delivered presentations at numerous national and international conferences and workshops. Furthermore, he contributes as a peer Reviewer for the Journal of Structural Engineering (American Society of Civil Engineers, ASCE) and is an active member of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA).
His research interests span a broad spectrum of topics, encompassing areas such as Building Physics in Cold Climates, Building Energy, Hygrothermal Performance of Building Envelopes, Durable Building Envelopes for Future Climates, Wind-Driven Rain and Runoff on Building Facades, Building Aerodynamics, and Passive House design, among others.
