Cultural Club Adda at the University of Asia Pacific

The Cultural club of University of Asia Pacific (UAPCC) organized an ’Introductory Cultural Adda’ to welcome the newly admitted students in Spring 2022 at the university on June 28, 2022 at 4:00 PM in the Indoor Games Room located on the ground floor of the UAP campus. The main agenda of the event was to introduce the Cultural Club and the members to the freshers.

For a university club, new members are always important to continue its growth. UAPCC is one of the mainstream clubs of UAP that strives to increase and facilitate student engagement in various cultural activities including dance, song, recitation, and more. The club seeks to encourage a student's artistic side and creativity.

The convener of the club, Ms Layeqa Bashir, presided over the program.

The event was enlightened by the honorable Director of the Doctorate of Student Welfare (DSW), Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury, with his vibrant presence and sharing encouraging words to the participants and the audience. He was accompanied by the Assistant Director of DSW Mr Tarek khan. A good number of faculty members from different departments, especially from the departments of Basic Science and Humanities, Civil Engineering, and Law & Human Rights graced the event.

It was a joyous event filled with beautiful performances, mostly presented by the student artists. In addition, two faculty members, namely the Club Advisor Ms. Layeqa Bashir and Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering Mr. Syed Jamal Uddin Ahmed also enthralled the audience by singing a beautiful song and playing flute respectively.

The students and faculty members who joined and performed in the event warmly welcomed the newcomers to UAP and introduced the club to them. Some of the Alumni of the club were also present to encourage the freshers.

The program was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the club convener Ms Layeqa Bashir.
