UAP student Tabassum Sultana receives Honourable Mentions in Tamayouz Excellence Award

Ms. Tabassum Sultana, a student of the Department of Architecture, University of Asia Pacific (UAP) received the Honourable Mentions in Tamayouz Excellence Award for International Graduation Projects Award 2022.

This prestigious acknowledgement is rendered upon her as in 2022 cycle of Tamayouz Excellence Award out of 534 submissions, representing 147 universities and 56 countries. The title of her thesis project was- "Soliloquy of A City- Kushtia: Exploring the History of Cultural Capital".

The project aimed at rejuvenating the past through master planning to facilitate historical, cultural, and philosophical growth by using adaptive reuse and pragmatic interventions while the project was supervised by her faculty members; Ar. Prof. Dr. Abu Sayeed M. Ahmed, Ar. Mr. Ziaul Islam, Ar. Mehrab Iftekher, Ar. Nishat Tasnim and Ar. Nabila Ferdousi.

Previously, two UAP graduates, Nishat Tasnim Oyshee and Umme Tahmina Haque, also won the First Place of the Tamayouz International Graduation Projects Award 2017 and 2020 cycle.

Tamayouz Excellence Award is open to students of architecture, urban design, urban planning, architecture technology and landscape design, who are invited to submit their graduation projects. The award aims to recognise excellence in architectural design and education worldwide and showcases excellent architectural examples to promote and provoke architectural debate.
