UAP Cultural Club Embraces Autumn and Bids Adieu to Rainy Season



Cultural Club of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) orchestrated a captivating cultural soirée titled "Barsha Sheshe Sharodobela" on August 17, 2023. This enchanting event was designed to warmly embrace the vibrant Bangla season of Sharat (the autumn) while bidding a fond farewell to the departing Borsha (the rainy season) of 1430. The UAP Auditorium served as the splendid backdrop for this celebration.


Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury, the Director of the Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW), extended a hearty welcome to the audience, acknowledging the Cultural Club's commendable efforts in crafting such a vivid and diverse cultural evening. The performances were an exquisite blend of melodic songs, graceful dances, and heartfelt recitations, all of which beautifully highlighted the essence of Bengali seasons, cultural heritage, tradition, and our rich and varied landscape. The event was infused with cheer as more than 250 students from various departments reveled in the festivities.


The occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mizanur Rahaman, the Dean of the School of Engineering at UAP, along with faculty members from different departments and officials from DSW. Ms. Layeqa Bashir, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Basic Science and Humanities, who also serves as the Adviser to the UAP Central Cultural Club, provided invaluable guidance to the performers and seamlessly orchestrated the event's proceedings.
