The Central Library of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), in collaboration with OpenAthens, organized an Inauguration Ceremony on 31st January 2023 to introduce Remote Access facilities to all subscribed e-resources. The ceremony was held through Zoom platform.

Professor Dr. Qumrul Ahsan, Vice Chancellor, UAP delivered the welcome speech while Dr. M. Alauddin, Chairman, Board of Trustees, UAP, delivered very Inspiring and encouraging concluding remarks.

Mr. Christos Skoutas, Sr. Development Manager, from OpenAthens, gave an excellent presentation on OpenAthens. Furthermore, Ms. Sajia Sultan, Deputy Librarian elaborately described how it works and can use to log in. The inaugural session was also attended by the Members of the Board of Trustees, Deans of Schools, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students of the university.

OpenAthens is an access management platform that allows subscribers to link to library resources. It provides access to e-resources for off-campus users.
