The Entrepreneurship and Career Development Club (ECDC), DSW proudly hosted “IDEA season 4.0,” a multi-phase flagship event designed to foster innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and business acumen among university students. This season of Idea aimed to equip aspiring student entrepreneurs with the knowledge, inspiration, and platform needed to bring their startup dreams to life through a structured and engaging series of events..
The journey began with a highly engaging workshop held on 13th April 2025 attended by over 240 enthusiastic students. The keynote speaker for the session was Munaf Mojib Chowdhury, a distinguished professional from Axentec PLC, ROBI. He shared his personal entrepreneurial journey, delivering valuable insights on essential skills, mindset development, and strategic thinking required to successfully launch and sustain a startup. His real-life experiences and professional guidance helped inspire and motivate students, setting the tone for the events to follow.
Building on the momentum of the workshop, the Exhibition Round took place on 30th April 2025. This phase of the competition allowed student teams to present and showcase their innovative startup ideas to a panel of internal judges. Participants demonstrated creativity, strategic planning, and strong communication skills as they defended their ideas and received constructive feedback from the evaluators. The round served as an essential learning opportunity, helping participants refine their ideas and gain confidence in pitching their ventures in a semi-competitive environment.
The final phase, the Grand Finale of Idea Season 4.0, was held on 06th May 2025. The top five teams, selected through the Exhibition Round, presented their refined startup concepts before a distinguished panel of external judges. The judging panel included Muhammad Aminur Rahman, Imteenan Akhter Khan, and Munaf Mojib Chowdhury. These experienced professionals offered deep insights and real-world perspectives, challenging the finalists to think critically and present their business models with clarity and conviction. The Grand Finale was not only a competition but a celebration of innovation, courage, and student potential.
Idea Season 4.0 emerged as a transformative experience for participants, encouraging them to think beyond academics and explore the exciting world of entrepreneurship. Through mentorship, exposure, and hands-on learning, the event successfully created a platform for future innovators to gain real-world insights and recognition, reinforcing ECDC’s mission to nurture entrepreneurial spirit within the university community.
