DSW Organized a Workshop on CV Writing and Job Interview Skills

On 24 August 2023, the Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW), UAP organized a comprehensive 2-hour long workshop on CV writing and Job Interview Skills. The event took place at the UAP Auditorium, featuring the distinguished presence of Mr. Jamal Uddin Jamy, CEO and Lead Trainer of CAREERCOACH™ Training Solutions, who served as the esteemed resource person.

Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury, Director of the Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW), warmly greeted both the resource person and the attendees. During his opening remarks, Mr. Chowdhury emphasized the paramount importance of possessing a well-crafted CV in the context of the 21st century. He encouraged participants to glean insights from the resource person, emphasizing the significance of preparing for the dynamic job market.

Mr. Jamal Uddin Jamy, the resource person, delved into the intricate nuances of effective CV composition. He placed particular emphasis on active engagement in co-curricular activities, part-time employment, and involvement with community-oriented non-profit organizations. Stressing the significance of precision, Mr. Jamy underscored that every word on a CV should purposefully reflect an individual's core competencies. The workshop included engaging experiments and activities that highlighted the correlation between a growth mindset and attaining success. Furthermore, Mr. Jamy provided a comprehensive overview of the prerequisites for successful job interview preparation.

The workshop was enthusiastically participated by over 250 students. As a result, these participants walked away with a foundational understanding of CV construction and a heightened aptitude for effective job interview strategies.
