The Department of Pharmacy at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of Dr. James Regun Karmoker, a distinguished alumnus who has recently joined Stanford University, USA, as a Postdoctoral Scholar.
Dr. Karmoker began his academic journey at UAP, earning both his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Technology. He later served as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy, where he contributed to teaching and mentoring students.
Driven by a passion for research, Dr. Karmoker pursued a PhD in Vision Science at the University of Oklahoma, USA. His doctoral work focused on immune cell activity and eye diseases- an area critical to advancing understanding and treatment of vision-related disorders, including causes of blindness.
His latest accomplishment- securing a postdoctoral position at Stanford University, one of the world’s leading research institutions- marks a significant milestone in his career and a proud moment for UAP.
