UAP and Coppin State University, USA, Sign MoU to Advance Nanotechnology


The University of Asia Pacific (UAP) and the Center for Nanotechnology, Coppin State University, USA, have formalized a significant academic and research collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement aims to establish a state-of-the-art Nanotechnology Center at UAP and promote extensive bilateral academic exchange.

The MoU was formally signed by Prof. Dr. Qumrul Ahsan, Vice Chancellor of UAP, and Professor Dr. Jamal Uddin, Professor and Founding Director of the Center for Nanotechnology at Coppin State University, on 28 January 2026 at the Vice Chancellor’s Conference Room of UAP, Dhaka.

This partnership outlines a comprehensive framework for joint research and academic collaboration, including faculty and student exchanges. Key initiatives under the MoU include collaborative guidance in establishing the UAP Nanotechnology Center, encompassing infrastructure development, curriculum design, and laboratory setup. Both institutions will also work together on joint research projects, publications, seminars, and the exchange of knowledge and best practices in the field of nanotechnology.
