On April 22, 2026, the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Asia Pacific hosted an insightful seminar titled “Clinical Pharmacy Practices in Canada: Opportunities and Challenges for Bangladesh.” This program aims to provide a comprehensive overview of clinical pharmacy opportunities in Canada while exploring the potential opportunities and challenges in adapting these practices within the context of Bangladesh.
We were honored to have Mr. Faisol Ferdous, Owner of Millet Pharmacy, Millet, AB EDmonton, Alberta, Canada, as the keynote speaker, with his extensive experience in clinical pharmacy practices in Canada, Mr. Ferdous delivered an insightful and engaging session, highlighting the evolving role of pharmacists in patient-centered care and healthcare systems.
In the program Prof. Dr. Zebun Nahar, Head of Department of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Dean, School of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Swarnali Islam Khandaker, Controller of Examinations, Ms. Ramisa Anjum, Assistant Professor, and Ms. Fahmida Tasnim Richi, Lecturer, from department of Pharmacy were also present. The event was hosted by Ms. Fahmida Tasnim Richi, Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy.
The seminar highlighted clinical pharmacy practices, study pathways, and career opportunities for pharmacists in Canada, while also addressing the challenges of implementing such practices in Bangladesh. The session was highly engaging and interactive, reflecting strong interest among the participants.
The program was organized by Seminar Organizing Committee, department of Pharmacy, UAP with the assistance of Ramisa Anjum, Assistant Professor and Fahmida Tasnim Richi, Lecture.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of the keynote speaker, the distinguished attendees, and the organizing committee. The enthusiastic involvement of students and faculty made this event a resounding success, marking another milestone in the Department of Pharmacy’s commitment to academic excellence and professional development.
