Inter-Department Cricket Tournament, Fall-25

The UAP Cricket Club, under the Directorate of Students' Welfare (DSW), successfully organized the Inter-Department Cricket Tournament, Fall-25 from May 1 to May 4, 2026, at the Kalabagan Cricket Ground. The tournament brought together teams from all eight academic departments of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among students.

Following a series of exciting matches, the Department of Law & Human Rights and the Department of Civil Engineering (CE) emerged as the finalists after securing victories in their respective semi-final matches. The much-anticipated final was held at Kalabagan Cricket Ground on May 4, 2026.

The final witnessed an exhilarating contest, with the Department of Law & Human Rights defeating the Department of Civil Engineering by 5 wickets to claim the championship title. Throughout the tournament, Rezaul Hoque from the Department of Law & Human Rights demonstrated exceptional performance and was deservedly recognized with both the Man of the Match and Man of the Tournament awards.

The final match was graced by Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Honorable Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Asia Pacific, who attended as the Chief Guest and presented prizes to the winners and runners-up.

The event was also attended by Mr. Mohammad Rakiv, Acting Director, Directorate of Students' Welfare (DSW), Mr. Md. Abdullah-Al Mahmud, Adviser, UAP Cricket Club, along with respected faculty members, students, and enthusiastic supporters from both finalist departments, creating a vibrant and spirited atmosphere.

The tournament was coordinated by Mr. Md. Abdullah Al Mahmud, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Adviser of the UAP Cricket Club, DSW.
