DBA, UAP Establishes International Partnerships in Türkiye and Bulgaria

The Department of Business Administration (DBA), University of Asia Pacific (UAP), has taken a significant step toward expanding its international academic network by establishing collaborative relationships with leading universities in Türkiye and Bulgaria. As part of the department's global outreach initiative, Mr. Sarwar R. Chowdhury, Head of the Department of Business Administration, UAP, led a one-member delegation to Türkiye to explore opportunities for academic cooperation and institutional partnerships.

During the visit, Mr. Chowdhury met with senior officials of Istanbul Medipol University, attended an academic seminar, and held discussions on student and faculty exchange, joint research, academic mobility, seminars, workshops, and other collaborative initiatives. Following these discussions, both institutions initiated the process of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize future cooperation.

The outreach program also resulted in a significant achievement in Bulgaria, where DBA signed an MoU with Burgas Free University. The agreement is expected to promote joint research, exchange programs, academic events, and other collaborative activities, further advancing the department's internationalization efforts.

In addition, Mr. Chowdhury visited Hacettepe University in Ankara, where discussions with university authorities explored prospects for collaboration in academic exchange, research, capacity-building initiatives, seminars, and related academic activities. Both institutions expressed interest in signing an MoU in the future.

Notably, both Burgas Free University and Hacettepe University are beneficiaries of the European Union's Erasmus funding program. Upon completion of the proposed MoUs and fulfillment of institutional requirements, UAP may become eligible to participate in Erasmus-supported initiatives, creating opportunities for student and faculty mobility, joint academic programs, research partnerships, and broader international engagement. The initiative reflects DBA's commitment to strengthening its global presence through sustainable international collaboration.
