For doing that Sharmin conducted extensive travel survey on commuters in Dhaka for the work trip. She identified the acceptability of Bus Rapid Transit to commuters in Dhaka by comparing mode choice model developed with both Revealed Preference and Stated Preference Survey data. Ultimately her research made a substantial contribution by identifying the importance of stability in governance for success of any major mass transit project in a developing country’s megacity.
